Valedictorian Club (8th Grade)

The Valedictorian Club (V-Club) was the first program established by BALF in 2006 with sixty 8th-grade students from Roosevelt Elementary School District (RESD) and has since then expanded into the Phoenix Elementary School District (PESD) and Murphy Elementary School District (Murphy). Students are selected as “Valedictorians” of their respective schools, not on academic merit, but on character, leadership potential and the desire to succeed. Once referred to as “Valedictorians,” these students start to develop a sense of accomplishment and realize the great potential within them.

The V-Club program aims to accomplish its goals through college-focused curriculum in an 8-workshop series that coincides with the academic year. To date, V-Club has promoted hundreds of  students into the high school system with a strong sense of becoming college bound, focused and prepared.

How To Apply: V-Club accepts applications from 7th graders during their spring semester for the following academic year. For more information about registering for the program please contact ashley.rodriguez@bealeaderfoundation.org.
