BALF's programs provide a positive learning environment and a college-focused mentality for each participant.
The mission of the “Mentor Program” is to provide mentor volunteers at all of our program workshops to provide expertise and support to the students. In addition, our Valedictorian Club has a one on one mentoring component to help students during the critical transition into high school. Once a mentor is selected, they are expected to help the students by enthusiastically mentoring, guiding and training them to prepare for college from middle school through their senior year in high school.
The Be A Leader Mentor Program will allow BALF to continue to fulfill the needs and expectations ofelementary and high school students whose dreams of obtaining a college degree are depleted due to the lack of mentoring, educational college focused programming and support. The Be A Leader Foundation strongly believes that each and every student has the ability to become college bound, focused and prepared if given the necessary tools, resources and mentorship as early as possible. BALF has consistently and will continue to focus on creating collaborative working relationships with organizations, institutions and additional school districts whose focus is to continue to improve the educational landscape for our Arizona youth. BALF has been able to create a progressive approach to creating a pipeline of students through their transition years from elementary into high school and eventually into college. Our progressive approach to preparing students to be college bound, focused and prepared is fully sustainable through the active participation of dedicated individuals serving as mentors to our youth.
