Lori J.G. Taitano

Lori J. G. Taitano is the Executive Analyst and Chief Compliance Official for Public Affairs at the Salt River Project. Throughout her career, she has held a number of positions in Public Affairs, International Relations, Electronic Systems, Commercial New Business and Customer Services. 

 

Prior to joining SRP, Lori worked with an affiliate of GE Capital Financial in Consumer Loans and Human Resources/Litigation.  During this time she directed research projects and was the point of contact for the legal department. She attended and participated in depositions ensuring adherence to FDCPA guidelines.

                 

Lori graduated from Arizona State University in Tempe, with a B.I.S in Political Science and Public Administration, and completed the Program on Negotiation for Senior Executives at Harvard Law School, Harvard University, 2011.

 

Lori has been married for over 20 years to her husband Richard, together they have three boys. Their oldest goes to college locally and works full time with Southwest Airlines, their middle son is in his freshman year at Amherst College in Massachussets and their youngest son attends elementary school in the Kyrene School district.  

 

Lori is involved in many community activities.  She is on the Board of Directors of Global Ties as well as The Phoenix Committee on Foreign Relations and more recently on the Advisory Board of the Be a Leader Foundations 500 Club (the philanthropic arm of BALF). She manages corporate memberships with the Public Affairs Council in Washington, D.C. and the AMC (Arizona Mexico Commission). She is on the President’s Club at the Arizona Science Center and volunteers for various youth organizations to include the American Youth Football League, Southeast Valley Youth Football, Corona Del Sol Choir Program and the Arizona Team Ladyhawks non profit girls basketball traveling club. Lori believes there is a direct connection between youth involvement in sports/activities and success in post secondary education.

 

Her volunteerism doesn’t end with the youth in our community, there is a following of young professionals who Lori has guided, developed and taken under her wing as a mentor. This has been a personal mission and something she does individually as these mentees are taken in as family. Making a positive impact in the lives of those around her is something she considers her responsibility as a servant leader
